Experimentation: Drawing On Plates
I then tried drawing onto the plates to see what it would look like. If I wanted to do side plates with illustrations, or write around the image. I drew a baby picture of my older sister because I'm pretty sure she'd love having her face branded onto a plate. I used the projector and though it was tricky holding the plate whilst drawing, I think it actually works and I may actually use it in my final. I can use it as a way to signify which family members are which - although I'm not sure if I want to put family stereotypes onto the settings, family come in all shapes and sizes so I don't want to exclude people by being hetero-normative or using this cliche idea of what a family is. I want this piece to be inclusive but still have the general kind of roles of parents and children. I think anyhow.
