Experimentation: Glass and Spray Adhesive

After posting on Instagram asking if anyone had any ideas about how to get the pen to stick to the glass, someone suggested trying spray adhesive. I tried it and it didn't work unfortunately, the adhesive leaves the glass sticky, textured with glue dots and the ink rubs off on touch and though it makes skin look pretty cool under blacklight, it's not what I want. I'm thinking at this point it may be better to write on the glasses like I did originally and exhibit them like that. If no one touches them they should retain the ink - this could be quite nice as the writing may change at every showing and adds an element of non-permanence to the piece. Families aren't permanent even though we wish them to be, relatives move away, lose touch, fall out, pass on and so on, maybe the glasses reflect these transitional family members. I'm not sure but I will keep experimenting.
